The audience thought a goal was coming when Diguinho Souza got free with Adriano Carneiro in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in MAZER SAF's zone, Diguinho Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Carneiro came out of the goal and Diguinho Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, MAZER SAF's goalkeeper Adriano Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diguinho Souza. Diguinho Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adriano Carneiro having to interfere. Diguinho Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Adriano Carneiro made a huge save. With a little luck, MAZER SAF's Adriano Carneiro got control of the ball when Diguinho Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 24th match minute, MAZER SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magno Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diguinho Souza in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano Carneiro saved MAZER SAF from getting behind. 27 minutes into the game, Diguinho Souza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adriano Carneiro. Diguinho Souza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 30th minute Diguinho Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diguinho Souza got free with Adriano Carneiro in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Atlético da Colina booed when MAZER SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 36 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Berger. A collision led to MAZER SAF getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Magno Maranhense hit a great ball. When Diguinho Souza came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Atlético da Colina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diguinho Souza couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nelsinho Koehler to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Amadeu Senna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MAZER SAF and the Atlético da Colina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Amadeu Senna got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 62nd minute Diguinho Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Diguinho Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Adriano Carneiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diguinho Souza went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Amadeu Senna lost his temper 80 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of MAZER SAF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Atlético da Colina:s goal. After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Rodrigo Garro got a free kick in the 85th minute. With a little luck, Atlético da Colina's Nelson Jesus got control of the ball when Dedê Mota tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Atlético da Colina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diguinho Souza to maneuver through the defense. João Fantini struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute.
