Jarrett Rosenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Dromes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Fontenot came free, but Lavrentiy Maslyannikov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lavrentiy Maslyannikov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Fontenot in the 12th minute of the match. Du Jun in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dromes FC's Lavrentiy Maslyannikov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant McKay in the 19th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cosmos Soccer Club defense, Du Jun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarrett Rosenberg should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute, Patrick Fontenot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Dromes FC's Reynaldo Navia got a free kick in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicky Cavazos in the 30th minute of play forced Dromes FC's goalkeeper Lavrentiy Maslyannikov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dromes FC's Jacobo Senen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarrett Rosenberg. That made the score 3-0 after 37 minutes of play. Ivelin Kúchev lost his temper 40 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ivelin Kúchev hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Du Jun. A collision led to Dromes FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Du Jun hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Jacobo Senen reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jarrett Rosenberg. The goal made the score 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Du Jun to make the kick off. In the 60th match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brian Mendoza to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emiliano Udalaitz in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jarrett Rosenberg saved Cosmos Soccer Club from getting behind. Jarrett Rosenberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Udalaitz, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute Emiliano Udalaitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dromes FC's Emiliano Udalaitz in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cosmos Soccer Club's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Dromes FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Jacobo Senen hit a great ball. Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Udalaitz in the 80th minute of play. Patrick Fontenot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Lavrentiy Maslyannikov made a huge save. Donovan Heath fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lavrentiy Maslyannikov having to interfere. A collision led to Dromes FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Du Jun hit a great ball. If Patrick Fontenot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dromes FC's Lavrentiy Maslyannikov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Fontenot in the 93rd minute of play. Du Jun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donovan Heath who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 97thth minute tested the skills of Lavrentiy Maslyannikov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Dromes FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
