Patrick Fontenot charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Fontenot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Cosmos Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Fontenot. If Harvey Flynn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donovan Heath to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, ◄19A10► ZRYW Jedlno's goal looked a bit too open when Nicky Cavazos came free, but Grzegorz Karpiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Santana scored 2-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 36 minutes of play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Nicky Cavazos made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Grzegorz Karpiak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ryszard Andrzejewski charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolás Pavlovich in the 55th minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcus Rush had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicky Cavazos got free with Grzegorz Karpiak in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cosmos Soccer Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
