With his leg José Ignacio Rocha managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Monky FC's Ceferino Mel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 30 minutes, Disvandis Carvajal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inter de Chillán and the Monky FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Monky FC booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Disvandis Carvajal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Monky FC's Constantino Pabla tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Ceferino Mel took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for José Ignacio Rocha to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Honrio in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Ignacio Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José Ignacio Rocha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceferino Mel in the 42nd minute. José Ignacio Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Honrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The Inter de Chillán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Ignacio Rocha should have stopped the shot. Monky FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ceferino Mel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Monky FC's Martin Honrio got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Jorge Valdivia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the match, Monky FC's 汪杰桑 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Ignacio Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Martin Honrio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Ignacio Rocha. Inter de Chillán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Honrio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0.
