In the 6thth minute of the game Filip Calomfir who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. YKE's Helmuth Duckadam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Filip Calomfir sped through F.C. YKE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Helmuth Duckadam. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Calomfir in the 11th minute of play forced F.C. YKE's goalkeeper Helmuth Duckadam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute of the match F.C. YKE got a corner. Gyepüpataka's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gianluigi p'Bitek made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Gyepüpataka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Calomfir to maneuver through the defense. Alin Bacalbașa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Lunca in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Gyepüpataka booed when F.C. F.C. YKE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gyepüpataka the free kick. The supporters of Gyepüpataka booed when F.C. YKE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cazimir Puișoru didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. YKE's zone, Árpád Illés stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmuth Duckadam came out of the goal and Árpád Illés tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 89 minutes of play F.C. YKE's Cazimir Puișoru was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to F.C. YKE getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Cazimir Puișoru hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, F.C. YKE's goal looked a bit too open when Olivér Török came free, but Helmuth Duckadam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolae Stanciu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alin Bacalbașa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. The Gyepüpataka supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gyepüpataka would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
