With a little luck, Pau Nas Canelas's Gentil Miranda got control of the ball when Mendoza Joseph tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute, Joaquim Baía hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gentil Miranda didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 8th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustin Pillado got free with Gentil Miranda in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pau Nas Canelas's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Betão Ramos was slow to take the kick. During this time C.A. GUAYACO's players had a chance to rest. Tobias Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oso Amezaga having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Nascimento in the 17th minute of play forced C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pau Nas Canelas's Gentil Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Pau Nas Canelas from getting a goal against them. Pau Nas Canelas's Gentil Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caicedo Berrondo in the 25th minute of play. Gentil Miranda made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Agustin Pillado sent off a good shot on target. 34 minutes into the match, Mendoza Joseph had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gentil Miranda. Pau Nas Canelas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mendoza Joseph was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Palmiro Picasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oso Amezaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palmiro Picasso in the 40th minute of play. Daniel Monsanto charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Monsanto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniel Monsanto kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th match minute, Pau Nas Canelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 董真林 to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, C.A. GUAYACO's Betão Ramos tried to score from far away in the 45th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
Gentil Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Pillado, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the match, Pau Nas Canelas's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Freitas came free, but Gentil Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pau Nas Canelas's Lech Biraga got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 59 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Palmiro Picasso. When Palmiro Picasso came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Pau Nas Canelas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Palmiro Picasso couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Pau Nas Canelas's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Pillado came free, but Gentil Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Mendoza Joseph's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gentil Miranda was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Mário Vilas Boas's late challenge caught a C.A. GUAYACO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mário Vilas Boas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Pau Nas Canelas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Vilas Boas to maneuver through the defense. Palmiro Picasso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Oso Amezaga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Pau Nas Canelas defense, Sérgio Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gentil Miranda. The Pau Nas Canelas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gentil Miranda should have stopped the shot. 92 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goalkeeper Oso Amezaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Palmiro Picasso. Gentil Miranda came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. GUAYACO's Sérgio Silveira. But to his dismay, Sérgio Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C.A. GUAYACO fully deserved thier win.
