After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Edward Lampa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newcastle United's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Lampa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remigiusz Bronkala was the one to do the kick off. Degerfors IF's 孙树真 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mikolaj Winszman, made in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 67th minute, Åke Fors made a precise shot to the right of Kryspin Wyrostek. Newcastle United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Fredrik Isak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerfors IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Fredrik Isak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kryspin Wyrostek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
