The throw-in from Bradley Obree in the 8th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vejbystrand's Oscar Matsson. Australian Youth Academy's Baxter Baba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Australian Youth Academy from getting a goal against them. 14 minutes into the match, Vejbystrand's Harald Ennegren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baxter Baba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. John Glad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sharizan Keng, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Oskar Deckbergh fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vejbystrand's protests and gave Oskar Deckbergh a yellow card for diving instead. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harald Ennegren made a kick off. Baxter Baba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Ennegren in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute Carmichael Tinsley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Glad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Vejbystrand booed when Australian Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bradley Obree didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Harald Ennegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Vejbystrand getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Tommy Norberg hit a great ball. Brice Lewry might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Glad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brice Lewry ran back to his position shaking his head. Vejbystrand's Henric Nordal was substituted for Harald Ennegren. Baxter Baba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henric Nordal, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Birger Hammarbäck during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th match minute, Vejbystrand was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birger Hammarbäck to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Jones Schutt from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got John Glad's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Baxter Baba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henric Nordal in the 82nd minute of play. After 84 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Bradley Obree. 87 minutes into the match, Henric Nordal notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Australian Youth Academy's Baxter Baba. Baxter Baba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Henric Nordal came free, but Baxter Baba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Henric Nordal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baxter Baba was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
