The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Robíño Football Club were awarded a corner. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Soroca F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Patrik Giliusson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Berriotxoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. A throw-in in the 11th minute of the game was made by Osvaldo Urki with Nicklas Füllkrug as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Osvaldo Urki fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Soroca F.C.'s protests and gave Osvaldo Urki a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Soroca F.C. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Osvaldo Urki hit a great ball. If Ernst Granqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Per-Erik Biörk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicklas Füllkrug in the 17th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrik Giliusson during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patrik Giliusson hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Honorato Tolino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Per-Erik Biörk. Robíño Football Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Giliusson came free, but Mateo Berriotxoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Urki kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrik Giliusson in the 27th minute of play forced Soroca F.C.'s goalkeeper Mateo Berriotxoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mateo Berriotxoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Berglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Soroca F.C.'s zone, Patrik Pilgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Berriotxoa came out of the goal and Patrik Pilgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Patrik Giliusson made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Patrik Giliusson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soroca F.C.'s Mateo Berriotxoa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Robíño Football Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Henrik Ekgren in the 55th minute. After 59 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Abel Pasqualini. If Henrik Ekgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Patrik Giliusson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robíño Football Club's Emanuel Dahlgren was substituted for Henrik Ekgren. The supporters of Robíño Football Club booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Lehior didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Ove Jönsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mateo Berriotxoa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Patrik Giliusson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Atilano Maidana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute, Patrik Giliusson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateo Berriotxoa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Mateo Berriotxoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Pilgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ernst Granqvist struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Mateo Berriotxoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Robíño Football Club. Honorato Tolino's late challenge caught a Robíño Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorato Tolino helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Robíño Football Club booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Tolino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th match minute, Soroca F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicklas Füllkrug to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Robíño Football Club players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
