Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 153) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vicente Sasoin made the kick off which started today's match. Wilfredo Berriotxoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Teinturier in the 3rd minute of the match. Vicente Sasoin made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 4thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Gustave Lechat would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Richard Le Moal lost his temper 5 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 5th minute, one of R.C. Marseille:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for R.C. Marseille. When R.C. Marseille's Paulo Teinturier in 8 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Wilfredo Berriotxoa guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Vicente Sasoin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Gustave Lechat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vicente Sasoin had several of the R.C. Marseille's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 13 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Gustave Lechat as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a little luck, R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat got control of the ball when Anier Mel tried to sneak it across the goal line. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save R.C. Marseille from getting a goal against them. Florent Travers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilfredo Berriotxoa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Florent Travers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Wilfredo Berriotxoa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Teinturier scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilfredo Berriotxoa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baltasar Guillerme in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustave Lechat saved R.C. Marseille from getting behind. Paulo Teinturier took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilfredo Berriotxoa. Wilfredo Berriotxoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Paulo Teinturier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Guillerme came free, but Gustave Lechat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Mendez to maneuver through the defense. R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Sasoin in the 45th minute of play. William Chausson hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The Atlético Nacional players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. R.C. Marseille were winning 1-2.
Paulo Teinturier took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilfredo Berriotxoa. Wilfredo Berriotxoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Pierre-Emmanuel Teboul hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute of the match Celestino Rudolfo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustave Lechat skillfully saved the ball. In the 57thth minute of the game Vicente Sasoin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Baltasar Guillerme came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Atlético Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Guillerme couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Vicente Sasoin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a good free kick, Vicente Sasoin got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for R.C. Marseille. After some careless play in the Atlético Nacional defense, Émile Levert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilfredo Berriotxoa. The Atlético Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilfredo Berriotxoa should have stopped the shot. In the 68th minute Baltasar Guillerme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustave Lechat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Berriotxoa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Teinturier's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luka Le Tiec in the 72nd minute of play forced Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Wilfredo Berriotxoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Atlético Nacional's Vicente Sasoin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustave Lechat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Gustave Lechat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Guillerme in the 76th minute of play. 2-6 became the score in the 87th minute when Paulo Teinturier elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gustave Lechat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltasar Guillerme, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Gustave Lechat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Guillerme in the 93rd minute of the match. Gustave Lechat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Sasoin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Atlético Nacional fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. R.C. Marseille were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
