Celestiales's Evaristo Ubarna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Celestiales from getting a goal against them. 2-0 became the score in the 43rd minute when Rodolfo Guerau elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anastasio Lixandro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Guerau took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evaristo Ubarna. Evaristo Ubarna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 59thth minute of the game Rodolfo Guerau who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celestiales's Evaristo Ubarna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Guerau in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evaristo Ubarna saved Celestiales from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Rodolfo Guerau made a precise shot to the right of Evaristo Ubarna. Celestiales's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Evaristo Ubarna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Guerau in the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento de Resistencia's zone, Anastasio Lixandro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tobias Elizardo came out of the goal and Anastasio Lixandro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Celestiales booed when Sarmiento de Resistencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Guerau in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Ubarna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Rodolfo Guerau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarmiento de Resistencia's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodolfo Guerau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Ubarna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes Sarmiento de Resistencia got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Ellande. Celestiales's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
