Spectators: 7771 (Terracing: 5829, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 155) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Paulo Teinturier got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat got control of the ball when Ari Holcomb tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th match minute, Black Knights FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendan Otto to maneuver through the defense. After 9 minutes of play, R.C. Marseille's Bart Vetter made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Trenton Call was left in no man's land by his defense there! Black Knights FC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after R.C. Marseille's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. George Cao Xiao took the corner. George Cao Xiao made a great header on Black Knights FC's corner, it was just that R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat managed to reach the ball for a save. Trenton Call made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bart Vetter in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Black Knights FC's Jerome Negron got a free kick in the 18th minute. Brendan Otto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Gustave Lechat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gustave Lechat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendan Otto in the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Black Knights FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Virgil Rios hit a great ball. Bart Vetter kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Leon Burrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Black Knights FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by George Cao Xiao in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markus Montano got free with Gustave Lechat in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendan Otto in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustave Lechat saved R.C. Marseille from getting behind. In the 43rd minute, Brendan Otto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gustave Lechat. The goal made the score 1-1. Virgil Rios kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. R.C. Marseille's Bart Vetter got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Brendan Otto made the kick off in the second half. Florent Travers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Trenton Call tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Florent Travers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Brendan Otto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustave Lechat was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. When Florent Travers came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the R.C. Marseille fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florent Travers couldn't finish the play. Bart Vetter might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Trenton Call. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bart Vetter ran back to his position shaking his head. Trenton Call made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bart Vetter in the 77th minute. Bart Vetter took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trenton Call. Trenton Call dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Bart Vetter received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Trenton Call came out and tried to block the shot, but Bart Vetter slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Cole Kidd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 minutes of play, Black Knights FC's Ari Holcomb made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustave Lechat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hugo Harrison hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Trenton Call made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Teinturier in the 90th minute of play. Paulo Teinturier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trenton Call having to interfere. Paulo Teinturier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. R.C. Marseille played a much better game than Black Knights FC and deserved their victory. The Black Knights FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
