Marseille was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florent Travers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piotr Hatman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gustave Lechat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Moneteria's Pankracy Zawada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Vetter in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Moneteria's Aaron Wuets nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gustave Lechat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Piotr Hatman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustave Lechat having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Piotr Hatman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustave Lechat was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Piotr Hatman sped through R.C. In the 83rdth minute of the game Piotr Hatman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but R.C. Marseille's Gustave Lechat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute of the match, Piotr Hatman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustave Lechat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Flavio Genovese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The R.C. Marseille supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Moneteria's performance. The match ended with a win for Moneteria.
