The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Christiano Arce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Orlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Tanio ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Morel Rial got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Christiano Arce quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Christiano Arce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norberto Orlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zacarias Erdiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diguinho Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Gustavo Romero heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 26 minutes into the match, Norberto Orlin notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SORRISO E. C.'s Christiano Arce. Christiano Arce was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zacarias Erdiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Diguinho Gaúcho went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diguinho Gaúcho got free with Zacarias Erdiano in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Natanael de Medeiros hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diguinho Gaúcho in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zacarias Erdiano saved TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB from getting behind. SORRISO E. C.'s Diguinho Gaúcho was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 42nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Diguinho Gaúcho charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diguinho Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diguinho Gaúcho to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Diguinho Gaúcho came free, but Zacarias Erdiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Natanael de Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SORRISO E. C.'s attentive Arnaud Clément managed to snatch the ball when Wojciech Podolski made a throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diguinho Gaúcho in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zacarias Erdiano saved TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB from getting behind. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Diguinho Gaúcho sped through TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zacarias Erdiano. TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB's Erubiel Maura was substituted for Morel Rial. SORRISO E. C.'s attentive Natanael de Medeiros managed to snatch the ball when Leonardo Tanio made a throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Hüsnü Saltuk hit a great ball. After some careless play in the SORRISO E. C. defense, Eugenio Froila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiano Arce. The SORRISO E. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Arce should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, SORRISO E. C.'s Christiano Arce got control of the ball when Erubiel Maura tried to sneak it across the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, TATENGUE FUTBOL CLUB's Erubiel Maura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Arce made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-4. SORRISO E. C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
