The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Margrímur Ásmundsson kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes, Red Devils's Waldemar Rekowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernanco Muslera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Red Devils reached it. Fernanco Muslera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrzej Markowski's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Red Devils's Borys Haskiewicz got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valadas's Fernanco Muslera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurand Mockiewicz in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Valadas getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Margrímur Ásmundsson hit a great ball. In the 26thth minute of the game Jurand Mockiewicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valadas's Fernanco Muslera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fernanco Muslera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurand Mockiewicz in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valadas's goalkeeper Fernanco Muslera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Valadas's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Tscherner came free, but Fernanco Muslera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Jurand Mockiewicz made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Valadas's Fernanco Muslera got control of the ball when Jurand Mockiewicz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernanco Muslera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurand Mockiewicz in the 53rd minute of play. Krzysztof Golaszewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Lameiras in the 54th minute of the match. Borys Haskiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernanco Muslera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Tscherner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Vilalobos kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Valadas got a freekick which was hit by Dimas Bravo. A collision led to Valadas getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Jorge Vilalobos hit a great ball. Fernanco Muslera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrzej Markowski in the 82nd minute. Valadas's Fernanco Muslera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Valadas from getting a goal against them. After 92 played minutes Valadas got a freekick which was hit by Dimas Bravo. Fernanco Muslera acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 93rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Waldemar Rekowski. Red Devils were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
