The referee ignored Barreal FC's protests and gave Javier Dabi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Javier Dabi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Honorato Lluciano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Honorato Lluciano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simamane LuaLua's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Simamane LuaLua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Honorato Lluciano was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barreal FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fernandinho Neiva was slow to take the kick. Despite this Honorato Lluciano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE booed when Barreal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Txilar didn't get a good kick on the ball.
