After having played for 16 minutes, Franz Graydon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dorking United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franz Graydon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Sparks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Carlos Miguel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, GRÊMIO's Roberto Fontes got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 42 minutes, Darryl Delaney mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dorking United FC and the GRÊMIO players grew even worse after the yellow card. 42 minutes into the game, one of Dorking United FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Trevor Burns had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Roger Machado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franz Graydon made a kick off. Darryl Delaney got his second yellow card in the match during the 51st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Franz Graydon in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Miguel saved GRÊMIO from getting behind. Trevor Burns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Maia in the 63rd minute of the match. Carlos Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franz Graydon, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Dorking United FC's zone, Arí Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trevor Burns came out of the goal and Arí Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Fontes in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trevor Burns saved Dorking United FC from getting behind. In the 73rd minute Geovanni Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor Burns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Miguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franz Graydon, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Dorking United FC's Tommy Sparks got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Geovanni Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. The Dorking United FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented GRÊMIO from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
