After a defensive mix-up in GRÊMIO's zone, Zlatko Stumbov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Miguel came out of the goal and Zlatko Stumbov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rungrueng Rau in the 8th minute of play forced GRÊMIO's goalkeeper Carlos Miguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Knights Templar booed when GRÊMIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sava Dodov struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Carlos Miguel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knights Templar. In the 13th minute Rungrueng Rau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Miguel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Miguel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sava Dodov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Bozhin Palakarchev made a huge save. In the 29th minute Rungrueng Rau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Miguel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, GRÊMIO's Geovanni Maia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bozhin Palakarchev. Bozhin Palakarchev yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Cleto Amor hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute Sava Dodov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Miguel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to GRÊMIO getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dráuzio Alagoano hit a great ball. Zlatko Stumbov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Fontes to strike the kick off in the second half. Sava Dodov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 50th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Miguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sava Dodov in the 54th minute of play. Carlos Miguel was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Sava Dodov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sava Dodov really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Carlos Miguel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sava Dodov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Miguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sava Dodov in the 66th minute of play. The Knights Templar fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Knights Templar's Zlatko Stumbov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zlatko Stumbov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Carlos Miguel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Geovanni Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bozhin Palakarchev was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Bozhin Palakarchev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bozhin Palakarchev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Gai in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sava Dodov in the 79th minute of play forced GRÊMIO's goalkeeper Carlos Miguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, GRÊMIO's goalkeeper Carlos Miguel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rungrueng Rau. Bozhin Palakarchev didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when GRÊMIO's Elpidio Gai shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 88th minute of the match, Zlatko Stumbov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Miguel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by GRÊMIO's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Acho Gergishanov was slow to take the kick. During this time Knights Templar's players had a chance to rest. Rungrueng Rau was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Rungrueng Rau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Miguel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of Knights Templar booed when GRÊMIO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Capitão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match, Zlatko Stumbov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Miguel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Rungrueng Rau took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Miguel. Carlos Miguel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
