Bernardo Estevez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eustratios Vertsotis having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thodoris Antoniadis in the 7th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everardo Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thodoris Antoniadis in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to Los Hornos getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Claudio Fonso hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Los Hornos's zone, Thodoris Antoniadis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everardo Francho came out of the goal and Thodoris Antoniadis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eustratios Vertsotis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Estevez in the 11th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Los Hornos's goal looked a bit too open when Thodoris Antoniadis came free, but Everardo Francho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lazaros Tsakrilis struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Everardo Francho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympiacos FC. A sloppy throw-in by Vaggelis Tassakos in the 27th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Los Hornos's Fabian Valery. Eustratios Vertsotis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Omero in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Bernardo Estevez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernardo Estevez got free with Eustratios Vertsotis in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eustratios Vertsotis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustaquio Omero in the 36th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Alexis Kotsanakis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Hornos's Everardo Francho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexis Kotsanakis in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Everardo Francho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thodoris Antoniadis in the 45th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Bernardo Estevez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustratios Vertsotis having to interfere. In the 62ndth minute of the game Thodoris Antoniadis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Hornos's Everardo Francho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thodoris Antoniadis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thodoris Antoniadis in the 65th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Everardo Francho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 74th minute, Eustaquio Omero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Konstantinos Meletiou hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Olympiacos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Estevez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Everardo Francho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panos Ntountas, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Olympiacos FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Los Hornos were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
