When Thodoris Antoniadis came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Olympiacos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thodoris Antoniadis couldn't finish the play. Giorgi Mamardashvili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thodoris Antoniadis in the 9th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Thodoris Antoniadis notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of B68 Toftir's Giorgi Mamardashvili. Giorgi Mamardashvili was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Giorgi Mamardashvili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thodoris Antoniadis in the 18th minute of play. Eustratios Vertsotis came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by B68 Toftir's Cecil Gerber. But to his dismay, Cecil Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Tomáš Čvančara made a precise shot to the right of Eustratios Vertsotis. Olympiacos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 26th minute Tomáš Čvančara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustratios Vertsotis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 played minutes Olympiacos FC's Soulis Partalis stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Giorgi Mamardashvili stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing B68 Toftir of the goal. After 43 played minutes B68 Toftir got a freekick which was hit by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Giorgi Mamardashvili stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexis Kotsanakis's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After the first half B68 Toftir were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Leverett Niens kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Giorgi Mamardashvili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis Kotsanakis in the 76th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Panos Ntountas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympiacos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave B68 Toftir the free kick. The B68 Toftir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giorgi Mamardashvili should have stopped the shot. In the 90th minute, Lazaros Tsakrilis had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. In the 92nd minute Thodoris Antoniadis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgi Mamardashvili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giorgi Mamardashvili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panos Ntountas in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched B68 Toftir eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
