Caetano Galnares was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. RACIN DE CHAWEN's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 30th minute, Caetano Galnares made a precise shot to the right of Eustratios Vertsotis. Olympiacos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Eustratios Vertsotis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After 39 minutes of play, RACIN DE CHAWEN's Lluciano Laredo made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eustratios Vertsotis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Konstantinos Meletiou charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstantinos Meletiou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Olympiacos FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Konstantinos Meletiou hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Sindo Bacete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thodoris Antoniadis to strike the kick off in the second half. Eustratios Vertsotis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Galnares in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Olympiacos FC booed when RACIN DE CHAWEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roldán Amer didn't get a good kick on the ball.
