Algarrobo's Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Estevez in the 7th minute of play. If Bernardo Estevez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 12 minutes into the match, Algarrobo's goal looked a bit too open when Eustaquio Omero came free, but Kaodilinakachukwu Papacharalabous reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Friedrich Händel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Algarrobo's supporters rose to their feet, but Friedrich Händel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Everardo Francho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Friedrich Händel got free with Everardo Francho in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Friedrich Händel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Algarrobo! An unexpectedly hard shot by Friedrich Händel in the 38th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Hornos's attentive Arturo Ciano managed to snatch the ball when Francisco Idoate made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. Los Hornos's Claudio Fonso suffered a sore knee after 54 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Los Hornos made a substitution. Leandro Guib replaced Claudio Fonso. Los Hornos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fidelio Aldunate was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Everardo Francho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Friedrich Händel in the 92nd minute of play. Los Hornos's Everardo Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Friedrich Händel in the 95th minute of play. Algarrobo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
