When Claudio Fonso fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Hornos's protests and gave Claudio Fonso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Los Hornos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Fonso to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Los Hornos's goal looked a bit too open when Jesús Cárdenas came free, but Everardo Francho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Everardo Francho made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jesús Cárdenas sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the game, Jesús Cárdenas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Everardo Francho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Estevez in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zbyszek Kaider prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Los Hornos's Eustaquio Omero got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Váldson Donato in the 35th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Hornos's Everardo Francho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by LeBron Puck in the 37th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when LeBron Puck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Everardo Francho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from LeBron Puck in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by LeBron Puck in the 54th minute of play forced Los Hornos's goalkeeper Everardo Francho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marciano Tanio's late challenge caught a Roneros F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Los Hornos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Everardo Francho should have stopped the shot. Everardo Francho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from LeBron Puck, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 72nd match minute, Roneros F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesús Cárdenas to maneuver through the defense. Rolando Sanjuan hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match.
