Boguslaw Jucha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oğuzhan Sarıaslan went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC 68AKSARAY's goalkeeper Edmund Rakoski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 22nd minute of the match Powiśle Warszawa got a corner. FC 68AKSARAY's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tadeusz Siembab ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 22 played minutes Powiśle Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Radomir Lato. In the 26th minute, Adrian Larsfält hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC 68AKSARAY booed when Powiśle Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olaf Zacharek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute of the match Adrian Larsfält sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Boguslaw Jucha skillfully saved the ball. Powiśle Warszawa made a substitution. Ryan Giggs replaced Cyryl Rukszcz. FC 68AKSARAY's Edmund Rakoski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save FC 68AKSARAY from getting a goal against them. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ümit Yalkın was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, FC 68AKSARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Giggs came free, but Edmund Rakoski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Powiśle Warszawa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Melih Cevdet Onar fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC 68AKSARAY's protests and gave Melih Cevdet Onar a yellow card for diving instead. Melih Cevdet Onar kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Edmund Rakoski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Piotr Majewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute of the match Powiśle Warszawa got a corner. FC 68AKSARAY's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. During this time Powiśle Warszawa's players had a chance to rest. 78 minutes into the match, Radomir Lato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmund Rakoski. FC 68AKSARAY's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radomir Lato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. After a rather tough play, Powiśle Warszawa's Olaf Zacharek got a free kick in the 81st minute. Edmund Rakoski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piotr Majewski in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Ryan Giggs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Powiśle Warszawa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryan Giggs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC 68AKSARAY's Mevlüt Ünsevin got a free kick in the 94th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piotr Majewski in the 98th minute of play forced FC 68AKSARAY's goalkeeper Edmund Rakoski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Powiśle Warszawa fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC 68AKSARAY had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
