After 8 played minutes Limoeiro-PE FC got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho Alagoano. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidnei Velloso during the 14th minute. With a little luck, Limoeiro-PE FC's Giga Hertz got control of the ball when Ciro Farias tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tito Pompei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giga Hertz having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tito Pompei came free, but Giga Hertz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute, Albano Raebert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustin Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmyr Salles in the 37th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tobiasz Bejger made a kick off. Agustin Rossi made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Basílio Nogueira sent off a good shot on target. Gilson Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Giga Hertz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tito Pompei, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Giga Hertz came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lengua de Lobo's Ciro Farias. But to his dismay, Ciro Farias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Limoeiro-PE FC made a substitution. Marcel Passos replaced Celsinho Alagoano. In the 68th minute, Albano Raebert made a precise shot to the right of Giga Hertz. Limoeiro-PE FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 70 minutes into the match, Limoeiro-PE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Farias came free, but Giga Hertz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Limoeiro-PE FC's Giga Hertz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Farias in the 83rd minute of play. Ciro Farias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giga Hertz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Lengua de Lobo players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
