With a little luck, White Star Troopers's Zbigniew Laba got control of the ball when Andrew Miggiani tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match, Robert Seychell tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zbigniew Laba saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Clayton Gerada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Proca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clayton Gerada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iwo Lepper went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Clayton Gerada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerzy Jastrowicz in the 29th minute of the match. Zbigniew Laba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoine Bugelli in the 31st minute of the match. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Proca in the 33rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Proca came free, but Clayton Gerada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match, Richard Pavia got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zbigniew Laba was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jerzy Jastrowicz took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clayton Gerada. Clayton Gerada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 40th minute, Andrew Miggiani reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Zbigniew Laba. The goal made the score 2-3. Zbigniew Laba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrew Miggiani's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Proca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. White Star Troopers's Zbigniew Laba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoine Bugelli in the 50th minute of play. In the 56th minute Robert Seychell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbigniew Laba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th match minute, White Star Troopers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iwo Lepper to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, White Star Troopers's Daniel Mentis got a free kick in the 61st minute. Richard Pavia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 62nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zbigniew Laba. White Star Troopers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 63rd minute Robert Seychell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbigniew Laba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Richard Pavia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Seraċini Għawdxin getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Robert Seychell hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes White Star Troopers got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Mentis. After 71 played minutes White Star Troopers got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Mentis. Zbigniew Laba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Seychell's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 73rdth minute of the game Andrew Miggiani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but White Star Troopers's Zbigniew Laba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jerzy Jastrowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, White Star Troopers's Clayton Gerada threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jerzy Jastrowicz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 78th minute Andrew Miggiani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbigniew Laba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when White Star Troopers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerzy Jastrowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Clayton Gerada successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zbigniew Laba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Seychell, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Iwo Lepper hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Pavia, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Clayton Gerada made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Tadeusz Buda sent off a good shot on target. When Robert Seychell came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Seraċini Għawdxin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Seychell couldn't finish the play. White Star Troopers's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
