The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Stephen Rejnemark came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Sletteenge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Rejnemark couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Sletteenge's Gunner Tesgaard got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute Ralph Nielans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clayton Gerada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrew Miggiani could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Petter Eirod made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Seychell in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petter Eirod saved Sletteenge from getting behind. 13 minutes into the match, Sletteenge's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Seychell came free, but Petter Eirod reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match, Andrew Miggiani got a very nice opportunity to score, but Petter Eirod was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 19th minute, Andrew Miggiani fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Petter Eirod. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Seraċini Għawdxin's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when Sletteenge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marko Fenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 minutes of play Sletteenge's Marko Fenn was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 24th minute, Marko Fenn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Seraċini Għawdxin's Richard Pavia shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Petter Eirod but with some difficulty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robert Seychell in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petter Eirod prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 31 minutes, Ralph Nielans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sletteenge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Nielans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Sletteenge's goal looked a bit too open when Antoine Bugelli came free, but Petter Eirod reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrew Miggiani in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Petter Eirod, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Giorgio Laferla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Petter Eirod tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Miggiani in the 44th minute of play forced Sletteenge's goalkeeper Petter Eirod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sletteenge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Antoine Bugelli scored to the left of an out of position Petter Eirod, making the score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgio Laferla in the 51st minute of play forced Sletteenge's goalkeeper Petter Eirod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Sletteenge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valther Fønsskov to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the game, Antoine Bugelli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Petter Eirod was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute Richard Pavia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petter Eirod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Seraċini Għawdxin defense, Ralph Nielans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clayton Gerada. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clayton Gerada should have stopped the shot. Clayton Gerada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valther Fønsskov in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Richard Pavia made a precise shot to the right of Petter Eirod. Sletteenge's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Sletteenge's Petter Eirod played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Seychell in the 72nd minute of play. Petter Eirod stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Seychell's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Petter Eirod showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Pavia in the 75th minute of the match. Petter Eirod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Pavia in the 78th minute of play. In the 89th minute Antoine Bugelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petter Eirod saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petter Eirod took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew Miggiani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Seychell in the 94th minute of play forced Sletteenge's goalkeeper Petter Eirod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Seraċini Għawdxin had won after a very even match.
