After 11 minutes, Hudson Toscano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independente FC and the Juoksengi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Independente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hudson Toscano to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Fernando Lucas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roland Lindström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 18th minute Raí Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nilson Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Roland Lindström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcelo Gröhe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christiano Ronaldo in the 23rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Martin Odén kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcelo Gröhe. That made the score 1-2 in the 25 minute of play. In the 33rd minute Fernando Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Independente FC's Marcelo Gröhe got control of the ball when Esbjörn Söder tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Independente FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Wiliam Campidelis hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christiano Ronaldo made a kick off. Roland Lindström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raí Prestes in the 55th minute. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Raí Prestes sped through Juoksengi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Roland Lindström. Raí Prestes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Roland Lindström made a huge save. Nils Wallander blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelo Gröhe having to make a save. Juoksengi's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fernando Lucas 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Marcelo Gröhe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Wallander in the 78th minute of the match. Independente FC's Marcelo Gröhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Ronaldo in the 79th minute of play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Independente FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
