Spectators: 7729 (Terracing: 5798, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Moisés Arruda kicked off to start the match. João Francisco Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Negri in the 6th minute of play. Enrico Cera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Francisco Leme having to interfere. In the 12th minute Aimar Aimar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio Campese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enrico Cera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aris Salonicco FC's Antonio Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Antonio Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aimar Aimar in the 32nd minute of play forced Aris Salonicco FC's goalkeeper Fulvio Campese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Francisco Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Cera in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Ique Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Varela to maneuver through the defense. Enrico Cera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrico Cera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Francisco Leme having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After 51st play minutes Enrico Cera shot 1-0, a short shot which went by João Francisco Leme and just under the crossbar into goal. Antonio Negri might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Francisco Leme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonio Negri ran back to his position shaking his head. If Enrico Cera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Aris Salonicco FC's goalkeeper Fulvio Campese had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aimar Aimar. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Aimar Aimar put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Fulvio Campese. After 70 minutes, Roberto Souza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ique Football Club and the Aris Salonicco FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roberto Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Aimar Aimar might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulvio Campese. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aimar Aimar ran back to his position shaking his head. Fulvio Campese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aimar Aimar in the 73rd minute of play. Cafu Varela's late challenge caught a Aris Salonicco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cafu Varela helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th match minute, Ique Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Varela to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute of the match Emilio Taranto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Francisco Leme showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fulvio Campese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aimar Aimar in the 82nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moisés Arruda got free with Fulvio Campese in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aris Salonicco FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ique Football Club had controlled the match.
