Jacinto Paraíba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Jorge Campos made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Amauri de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xapetuba Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Amauri de Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Campos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jorge Campos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Jacinto Paraíba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jorge Campos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Tróia during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Victor Tróia got a free kick in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Ingars Miders cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Tiaguinho da Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Campos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Paes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vivaldo Paes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jorge Campos made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Xapetuba Futebol Clube's Victor Tróia got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Xapetuba Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Macaco F.C. were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vivaldo Paes was the one to do the kick off. Ingars Miders could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Tiaguinho da Cunha made a huge save. Tiaguinho da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingars Miders in the 63rd minute of play. In the 67th minute, Jacinto Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Paes in the 71st minute of play forced Macaco F.C.'s goalkeeper Jorge Campos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Vivaldo Paes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Jorge Campos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Campos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Neiva's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Macaco F.C.'s Hermínio Cavalcante got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Macaco F.C.'s Ioan Mavrodin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 84th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tiaguinho da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ioan Mavrodin in the 88th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Macaco F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
