The referee ignored Oakham's protests and gave Sarb Dhanabalan a yellow card for diving instead. Sarb Dhanabalan hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Thor Hesjedal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Vestfjorden FK's zone, Gerard Choo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gil Ceni came out of the goal and Gerard Choo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Vestfjorden FK's goalkeeper Gil Ceni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Khairul Sarangapani. Oakham's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arif Ching in the 26th minute. The corner led Oakham's Arif Ching to fire away a dangerous shot which Gil Ceni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bineesh Liang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jørgen Holmgren in the 28th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vestfjorden FK's Ståle Stokkan got a free kick in the 29th minute. Gil Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amirul Hock in the 30th minute of play. Gil Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amirul Hock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amirul Hock scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gil Ceni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Amirul Hock's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gil Ceni was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. If Gerard Choo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jørgen Holmgrens short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Bineesh Liang to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 66 minutes into the match, Vestfjorden FK's goal looked a bit too open when Amirul Hock came free, but Gil Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Oakham booed when Vestfjorden FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ståle Stokkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Vestfjorden FK fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Vestfjorden FK's Jørgen Holmgren looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bineesh Liang came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Vestfjorden FK's Thor Hesjedal. But to his dismay, Thor Hesjedal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Oakham had won after a very even match.
