FC LauB were furious when Kasper Almstedt was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 16th minute, one of FC LauB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC LauB. FC LauB:s Rutger Danielsson showed great skill when he stopped Flavio Locaio:s penalty. Mario Mendez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Samuel Evarado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. FC LauB's Rutger Danielsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save FC LauB from getting a goal against them. Samuel Evarado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Mendez in the 25th minute of the match. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hermosillo FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Augusto da Cunha was slow to take the kick. During this time FC LauB's players had a chance to rest. FC LauB's Augusto da Cunha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Samuel Evarado in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Samuel Evarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto da Cunha in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hermosillo FC's goalkeeper Samuel Evarado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ander Lepist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Samuel Evarado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Hermosillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ander Lepist came free, but Samuel Evarado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Evarado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute Pascual Markel suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Flavio Locaio's late challenge caught a FC LauB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
