In the 3rd minute Anthony Doris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Duarte hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Mello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anthony Doris fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Mello having to interfere. Luiz Mello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camillo Paolini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vito Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfonso Festa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vito Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the game, Bianco Sorge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Calenzano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ the free kick. A collision led to Calenzano getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Bianco Sorge hit a great ball. When Vito Silva came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito Silva couldn't finish the play. In the 26th minute Camillo Paolini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28th play minutes Vito Silva shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Alfonso Festa and just under the crossbar into goal. After 31 minutes of play, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Vito Silva made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonso Festa was left in no man's land by his defense there! CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Luiz Mello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camillo Paolini in the 41st minute of play. After 45 played minutes Calenzano got a freekick which was hit by Cristoforo Albanesi. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, César Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but César Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Festa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vito Silva was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Mello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camillo Paolini. Cristoforo Albanesi had several of the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Luiz Mello as he didn't even see the shot coming. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Emanuel da Rocha was substituted for Toninho Alagoano. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ made a substitution. André Luís Mesquita replaced Eduardo Duarte. 61 minutes into the game, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Vito Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Festa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Ademir Gonçalves took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfonso Festa. Alfonso Festa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Nilton Couto charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilton Couto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Calenzano booed when CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Nilton Couto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by André Luís Mesquita. Luiz Mello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Doris in the 76th minute of play. After 79 played minutes, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Marcel Queirós shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alfonso Festa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ reached it. Alfonso Festa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Gonçalves in the 85th minute of the match. Frank Botelho's late challenge caught a Calenzano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frank Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Frank Botelho hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Anthony Doris came free, but Luiz Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristoforo Albanesi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Luiz Mello made a huge save. CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Calenzano for a fine match.
