The audience was convinced that Ritvaldis Rau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ahmet Fikret Çanak was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Juventudes Libertárias defense, Efrain Vilardell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Eliazar. With an all-out effort, Atletico Maturrango's Mauro Eliazar threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Raitin Salvia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Atletico Maturrango's Ahmet Fikret Çanak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agostinho Almeida in the 40th minute of play. If Efrain Vilardell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Juventudes Libertárias's Mauro Eliazar got control of the ball when Efrain Vilardell tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Gilson Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Fikret Çanak having to interfere. Efrain Vilardell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Eliazar having to make a save. Mauro Eliazar came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Maturrango's Efrain Vilardell. But to his dismay, Efrain Vilardell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Juventudes Libertárias's Mauro Eliazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Vilardell in the 78th minute of play.
