Spectators: 7742 (Terracing: 5808, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marian Beninda started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, KS LEW Chorzów's Hélio Vaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Slawomir Cholewa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to KS LEW Chorzów getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Dalmacio Locaio hit a great ball. Teofil Tyskie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélio Vaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Slawomir Cholewa made a huge save. After 23 played minutes KS LEW Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Vaz. The audience was convinced that Teofil Tyskie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacy Zagrobelny was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 26th minute of the match, Hélio Vaz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Slawomir Cholewa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Slawomir Cholewa made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Hélio Vaz sent off a good shot on target. Hélio Vaz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Slawomir Cholewa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 33rd minute KS LEW Chorzów were awarded a corner. Marian Beninda went to the cornerflag to take it. Hélio Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KS LEW Chorzów's Pedro Luís Alcântara managed to work through Astral's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Pedro Luís Alcântara dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Hélio Vaz in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Slawomir Cholewa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

Astral's Slawomir Cholewa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Beninda in the 50th minute of play. In the 51st minute KS LEW Chorzów were awarded a corner. Marian Beninda went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led KS LEW Chorzów's Pedro Luís Alcântara to fire away a dangerous shot which Slawomir Cholewa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Pedro Luís Alcântara put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Slawomir Cholewa. Hélio Vaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Slawomir Cholewa having to make a save. In the 56th minute Piotr Osikowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacy Zagrobelny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Luís Alcântara hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Piotr Osikowicz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignacy Zagrobelny read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Slawomir Cholewa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the game, Hélio Vaz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Slawomir Cholewa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Astral's Slawomir Cholewa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Vaz in the 78th minute of play. In the 89th minute of the match KS LEW Chorzów got a corner. Astral's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marian Beninda ran over to the corner to take the kick. Slawomir Cholewa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 93 minutes, Emilio Dantel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KS LEW Chorzów and the Astral players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Emilio Dantel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
