A very nice done corner allowed Petre Coporan to score against Wolf Poll in Tiger's goal. 1-0 after 38 minutes. Lisandro Aresti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moritz Kran having to interfere. In the 44th minute of the game Ştefan Arseanu made a throw-in which Iacob Vernescu played forward. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Codruț Filimon hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Ulrich Pickartz charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Wolf Poll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisc Bîndean in the 81st minute of play. Moritz Kran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elis Färber in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Francisc Bîndean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wolf Poll saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Francisc Bîndean's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wolf Poll was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Detmar Stuchtey kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Wolf Poll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Chilian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BVB 09 fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tiger had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
