In the 2nd match minute, Granicerul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Ares to maneuver through the defense. Granicerul's Remus Vuia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Diniz in the 3rd minute of play. Natanael Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Ares in the 9th minute of play. In the last second Natanael Paraense throw himself and got hold of the ball when Jack Ares in the 9thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Goiás Esporte Clube's Marcus Diniz in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Granicerul's goalie prevented a goal. Eusebiu Ianculescu scored 1-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natanael Paraense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Natanael Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Ianculescu in the 24th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Iordache Ioneasa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Natanael Paraense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Natanael Paraense made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Eusebiu Ianculescu sent off a good shot on target. Dan Spãtaru charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Spãtaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, one of Granicerul:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Granicerul. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Goiás Esporte Clube. Valdir Neves stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Remus Vuia. 2-2. 39 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Ares came free, but Natanael Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Goiás Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Dênis Faria. In the 44th minute Cornel Nastac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remus Vuia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Umberto Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Vuia having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Diniz made a kick off. Jack Ares kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Valdir Neves took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Remus Vuia. Granicerul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Ares came free, but Natanael Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natanael Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Ares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Granicerul's Remus Pinczewski was substituted for Eusebiu Ianculescu. 79 minutes into the match, Granicerul's goalkeeper Remus Vuia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dênis Faria. When Umberto Peres came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Goiás Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Peres couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
