The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Giovanni da Rocha lost his temper 3 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 2 minutes into the game, one of Goiás Esporte Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Goiás Esporte Clube:s Natanael Paraense showed great skill when he stopped Jose Rayman:s penalty. Mike Tyson kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Leonides Eladio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umberto Peres in the 8th minute of the match. After 9 minutes Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Valdir Neves who took care of the corner kick. Natanael Paraense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Rayman in the 11th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Peres came free, but Leonides Eladio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natanael Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Marini in the 21st minute of play. When Goiás Esporte Clube's Umberto Peres in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fac. de Ed. In the 30th minute Juan Pablo Gallinas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Paraense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Rayman kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. After 36 minutes of play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Umberto Peres made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leonides Eladio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leonides Eladio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umberto Peres in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Marini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Natanael Paraense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Natanael Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Rayman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Umberto Peres to make the kick off. Jose Rayman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Natanael Paraense came out and tried to block the shot, but Jose Rayman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute Dênis Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Eladio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goalkeeper Leonides Eladio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonides Eladio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Umberto Peres in the 72nd minute of the match. When Goiás Esporte Clube's Dênis Faria in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fac. de Ed. Goiás Esporte Clube's Umberto Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Umberto Peres in the 95th minute of play forced Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goalkeeper Leonides Eladio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
