Dida Gentenaar was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Labigne in the 21st minute of play forced BATMAN SK's goalkeeper Dida Gentenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dida Gentenaar was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Paavo Burgdorf capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paavo Burgdorf really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The supporters of Hannover Reds booed when BATMAN SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haydar Erandaç didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hannover Reds's Dominik Klemt got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Sol Harnack hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe Dias was the one to do the kick off. Dida Gentenaar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Labigne in the 51st minute of the match. Atak Tanay charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Atak Tanay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes BATMAN SK got a freekick which was hit by Atak Tanay. In the 68th minute, Ali Faruk Ergüner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Felipe Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felipe Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Till Geppert made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Devran Argün hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dida Gentenaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ben Labigne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Gentenaar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Labigne, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Paavo Burgdorf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Gentenaar having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Hannover Reds's Ratko Heesen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dida Gentenaar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hannover Reds fully deserved thier win.
