Brian Lambert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Ieltxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Andrew Brookman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ambrosio Quilino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elói Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elói Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, Lisburn Distillery F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. After 33 minutes, Crispin Lomas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lisburn Distillery F.C. and the Marlin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Crispin Lomas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Derek Bond made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Lisburn Distillery F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elói Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. Brian Lambert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Derwin in the 55th minute of the match. When Guaberto Quico came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Marlin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guaberto Quico couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Ieltxu in the 87th minute of play forced Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Brian Lambert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ignacio Derwin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Brian Lambert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Robustiano Heriberto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marlin FC and the Lisburn Distillery F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marlin FC! Ambrosio Quilino had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping Derek Bond's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Derek Bond took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ambrosio Quilino. Ambrosio Quilino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Marlin FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lisburn Distillery F.C..
