Brice Leach was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the match, Falckner FC's Octavio Gorosti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brice Leach narrowly saved just below the crossbar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Anastasio Maldonado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolphe Murdock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Octavio Gorosti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brice Leach was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The referee gave Varennes a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ellsworth Lindsay, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Falckner FC's Anastasio Maldonado. 1-5. The supporters of Varennes booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Rozarius didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Randell McCullough in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Falckner FC's Gao Yuan Zhen. Gianluca Vialli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 90 minutes Varennes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aquilino Rozarius who took care of the corner kick. 94 minutes into the match, Gianluca Vialli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Brice Leach. Varennes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gianluca Vialli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. After 97 played minutes, Varennes's Randell McCullough shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anastasio Maldonado came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Varennes reached it. The Varennes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Falckner FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Falckner FC.
