The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanasis Vasilopoulos struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. After a rather tough play, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Johnny Stigsson got a free kick in the 26th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Panos Siafakas in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Ryan Battrup. A collision led to Saronida FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Thanasis Vasilopoulos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Lundqvist in the 38th minute of play forced Saronida FC's goalkeeper Tasos Brizolakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Panos Siafakas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Johnny Stigsson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tasos Brizolakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Stigsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Mohamed Küdüs made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Stamatis Agathakis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saronida FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quetzal Flyers Hammers the free kick. A collision led to Saronida FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Stamatis Agathakis hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fondas Nebegleras in the 57th minute of play forced Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalkeeper Thomas Runeberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fondas Nebegleras took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Runeberg. Thomas Runeberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Saronida FC made a substitution. Sotiris Pavlidis replaced Stamatis Agathakis. In the 66th minute, Fondas Nebegleras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tasos Brizolakos made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Christian Lundqvist sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Quetzal Flyers Hammers getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Johnny Stigsson hit a great ball. Saronida FC's Tasos Brizolakos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Saronida FC from getting a goal against them. In the 95th match minute, Quetzal Flyers Hammers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Potts to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Runeberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fondas Nebegleras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saronida FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
