But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philipp Van Kestbeek couldn't finish the play. Arnold Steward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Bormans in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute Carlos Dufresne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zabulón Carabajal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zabulón Carabajal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romero Affolter, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 40th match minute, FC Stadtclub was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Jeanneret to maneuver through the defense. FC Stadtclub's Arnold Steward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lelo Orihuela in the 41st minute of play. Romero Affolter kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. FC Klavertje Vier's Tibaut Van Espen was substituted for Oliver Bormans.
