FC Steaua Pildesti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mathias Alströmmer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Mathias Alströmmer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Steaua Pildesti's Isac Cozmâncă did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Paulescu in the 11th minute of play forced Metalducks's goalkeeper Jim Lindkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Olsmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Metalducks booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Paulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Nichifor Vergulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Steaua Pildesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nichifor Vergulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filip Paulescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jim Lindkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Greger Skröder charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Greger Skröder the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, FC Steaua Pildesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Isvoreanu to maneuver through the defense. When Mircea Isvoreanu got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for FC Steaua Pildesti. 32 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's Mircea Isvoreanu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jim Lindkvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jon Eklund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Lundin hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Metalducks defense, Filip Paulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jim Lindkvist. The Metalducks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jim Lindkvist should have stopped the shot. 47 minutes into the match, Metalducks's goal looked a bit too open when Mircea Isvoreanu came free, but Jim Lindkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Filip Paulescu made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Paulescu in the 54th minute of play forced Metalducks's goalkeeper Jim Lindkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isac Cozmâncă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Olsmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. FC Steaua Pildesti's Isac Cozmâncă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Olsmann in the 57th minute of play. In the 64th minute Tomas Biörling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Cozmâncă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jim Lindkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Vergulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Metalducks's Jim Lindkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nichifor Vergulescu in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Metalducks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Olsmann to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, Filip Paulescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jim Lindkvist. Filip Paulescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hjalmar Bäckström during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th minute, one of Metalducks:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Metalducks. The referee gave FC Steaua Pildesti a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filip Paulescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Metalducks's Jim Lindkvist. 1-3. Mircea Isvoreanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Filip Paulescu sped through Metalducks's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jim Lindkvist. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Metalducks's goalkeeper Jim Lindkvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nichifor Vergulescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jim Lindkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, one of Metalducks:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Metalducks. The Metalducks supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Steaua Pildesti's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Steaua Pildesti.
