With a little luck, GREEN LIONS's Vaggelis Pantelidis got control of the ball when Antoine Norton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexis Nioblias kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Antoine Norton took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Vaggelis Pantelidis to make any attempt to save it. 39 minutes into the game, Antoine Norton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Vaggelis Pantelidis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, GREEN LIONS's Sokratis Orfanopoulos got a free kick in the 46th minute. GREEN LIONS's Vaggelis Pantelidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save GREEN LIONS from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pierre Leclerc stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Antoine Norton got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vaggelis Pantelidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Norton in the 60th minute of play. Emanuel Bazinet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demis Laggizos, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Antoine Norton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREEN LIONS's Vaggelis Pantelidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Will Donovan was substituted for Shaun Wang. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jared Temple was substituted for Lewis Horn. In the 68th minute of the match Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a corner. GREEN LIONS's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marquis Hopper ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Marquis Hopper got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vaggelis Pantelidis quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Demis Laggizos came free with the goalkeeper in the 71st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emanuel Bazinet could save by the left post. Vaggelis Pantelidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Leclerc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vaggelis Pantelidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Norton in the 79th minute of play. Jared Temple hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 84 played minutes Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Jared Temple. Alexis Nioblias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Emanuel Bazinet made a huge save. After 87 played minutes Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Leclerc. Emanuel Bazinet was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Filippos Trontzos. Vaggelis Pantelidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antoine Norton in the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when Sport Lisboa e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Welch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vaggelis Pantelidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoine Norton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
