Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Van Field started the match with the kick off. Desiderio Endura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Filho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Frederico Costa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Desiderio Endura quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdemar Leite in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Desiderio Endura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5thth minute of the game Valdemar Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOUTH THUNDER's Desiderio Endura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vinícius Lott during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vinícius Lott hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. SOUTH THUNDER's Augusto Procopio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dráuzio Arantes but with some difficulty. In the 9th minute, Augusto Procopio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SOUTH THUNDER's Desiderio Endura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Leite in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sagarana Clube's Valdemar Leite got a free kick in the 16th minute. When Valdemar Leite got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Sagarana Clube. In the 17th match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Lott to maneuver through the defense. Dráuzio Arantes made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Van Field sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute Cafu Filho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Endura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Sagarana Clube got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Leite. When SOUTH THUNDER's Van Field in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sagarana Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Desiderio Endura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu Filho in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, SOUTH THUNDER's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Filho came free, but Desiderio Endura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Incendio hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Leite in the 43rd minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Desiderio Endura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Norberto Incendio fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SOUTH THUNDER's protests and gave Norberto Incendio a yellow card for diving instead. Norberto Incendio hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Sagarana Clube's Valdemar Leite got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cafu Filho made a kick off. When Germán Pezzella fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SOUTH THUNDER's protests and gave Germán Pezzella a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes SOUTH THUNDER got a freekick which was hit by Germán Pezzella. Desiderio Endura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Costa in the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Cafu Filho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dráuzio Arantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Van Field's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. The SOUTH THUNDER fans' excitement grew in the 61st match minute when SOUTH THUNDER's Van Field looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when SOUTH THUNDER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Raymond didn't get a good kick on the ball. SOUTH THUNDER's Desiderio Endura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Leite in the 66th minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, Sagarana Clube's Valdemar Leite made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Desiderio Endura was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute, Sagarana Clube's Cafu Filho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 75 minutes into the match, Valdemar Leite dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Desiderio Endura, 1-3. SOUTH THUNDER's Desiderio Endura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Leite in the 78th minute of play. Pablo Solari's late challenge caught a Sagarana Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pablo Solari helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sagarana Clube booed when SOUTH THUNDER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Solari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Desiderio Endura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frederico Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After a rather tough play, SOUTH THUNDER's Van Field got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th match minute, Sagarana Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Lott to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Paulo Renato Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dráuzio Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Mastantuono in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute of the match SOUTH THUNDER got a corner. Sagarana Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Augusto Procopio ran over to the corner to take the kick.
