Fc Benefica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Paauwe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feyzullay Taşkıner in the 32nd minute of play forced Gröne Jägarens BK's goalkeeper Ian Lang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fc Benefica's Carsten Sloothaak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Benefica from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feyzullay Taşkıner made a kick off. Pepe Guardiola kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Iwan Terpstra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fc Benefica's supporters rose to their feet, but Iwan Terpstra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Lang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 86 minutes, Feyzullay Taşkıner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
