In the 22nd minute Lajos Szuper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Crâșmaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Miklós Bogdán left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Szajk LC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Marin Gherasim kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Özdemir Babayiğit. That made the score 2-1 in the 32 minute of play. The corner led SuperDepor's Emil Gârdescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Özdemir Babayiğit despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Özdemir Babayiğit made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Vintilă Gârniceanu sent off a good shot on target. After 41 minutes Szajk LC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Gârdescu who took care of the corner kick. SuperDepor's Emil Gârdescu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Özdemir Babayiğit in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vintilă Gârniceanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Özdemir Babayiğit when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 43 played minutes Szajk LC got a freekick which was hit by Csanád Sipos. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 50th match minute, Szajk LC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miklós Bogdán to maneuver through the defense. Vintilă Gârniceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zsolt Lendvay charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Vintilă Mirciulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Mirciulescu in the 58th minute of play forced Szajk LC's goalkeeper Özdemir Babayiğit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Szajk LC defense, Vintilă Mirciulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Özdemir Babayiğit. The Szajk LC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Özdemir Babayiğit should have stopped the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Vintilă Gârniceanu notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Szajk LC's Özdemir Babayiğit. Özdemir Babayiğit was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vintilă Gârniceanu in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Özdemir Babayiğit saved Szajk LC from getting behind. Özdemir Babayiğit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vintilă Mirciulescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Szajk LC's Özdemir Babayiğit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vintilă Gârniceanu in the 67th minute of play. Alex Crâșmaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lajos Szuper in the 69th minute of the match. Szajk LC's Özdemir Babayiğit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marin Gherasim in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of Szajk LC booed when SuperDepor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiberiu Zgârcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SuperDepor getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Tiberiu Zgârcu hit a great ball. Emil Gârdescu hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Vintilă Gârniceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the game, Isidro Lángara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alex Crâșmaru. Isidro Lángara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. Szajk LC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
