Juvenal de Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juvenal de Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juvenal de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Michel Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Tola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 10 minutes of play, XV de Piracicaba's Severino Capixaba made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabio Diez was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, XV de Piracicaba's Murillo Trigo got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Michel Pernambucano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Tola in the 18th minute of play forced XV de Piracicaba's goalkeeper Michel Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Olimpo de Bahia Blanca were awarded a corner. Hilario Sal went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Hilario Sal almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but XV de Piracicaba's Michel Pernambucano did a great save. XV de Piracicaba's Michel Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Tola in the 22nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as XV de Piracicaba's Severino Capixaba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Diez. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. Michel Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Javiar in the 28th minute of the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Gaston Nafarroa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaston Nafarroa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 32nd minute, Gonzalo Jurdan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The XV de Piracicaba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Severino Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Fabio Diez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Zé Tola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bonifacio Javiar in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michel Pernambucano saved XV de Piracicaba from getting behind. A collision led to Olimpo de Bahia Blanca getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Bonifacio Javiar hit a great ball. In the 47th match minute, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmar Erauso to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Tola to strike the kick off in the second half. Fabio Diez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gonzalo Jurdan in the 52nd minute of the match. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Fabio Diez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Jurdan in the 53rd minute of play. Zé Tola received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Michel Pernambucano came out and tried to block the shot, but Zé Tola slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 56th minute. Wen Yong Sha hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th match minute, XV de Piracicaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Novaes to maneuver through the defense. 74 minutes into the match, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Jurdan came free, but Fabio Diez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabio Diez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fábio Montoia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute of the match XV de Piracicaba got a corner. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eurico Novaes ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Haruna Hassan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Bonifacio Javiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michel Pernambucano having to make a save. After 82 minutes, Wen Yong Sha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the XV de Piracicaba and the Olimpo de Bahia Blanca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Wen Yong Sha hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match, Zé Tola tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Michel Pernambucano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's zone, Severino Capixaba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Diez came out of the goal and Severino Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabio Diez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haruna Hassan in the 86th minute of play. The supporters of Olimpo de Bahia Blanca booed when XV de Piracicaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Pernambucano didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 3-2. XV de Piracicaba walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
