The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Virgil Şimonca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adrian Blănaru hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Marcos Xabel made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Sergiu Coșeriu sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Academia Rio's Virgil Şimonca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Marcos Xabel was a little too slow when Olimpiu Dichiseanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. Marcos Xabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Şimonca, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Gigel Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Dacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcos Xabel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgil Şimonca in the 36th minute. Dumitru Pantelimon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dumitru Pantelimon made a great header on Academia Rio's corner, it was just that Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Marcos Xabel managed to reach the ball for a save. Sergiu Coșeriu kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Resurrección Diabólica Ψ made a substitution. Tomas Isadore replaced Severino Dacio. The wind increased when Severo Tono made the kick off in the second half. Teofilo Sustrai charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teofilo Sustrai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Resurrección Diabólica Ψ getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Teofilo Sustrai hit a great ball. After 53 minutes of play, Academia Rio's Virgil Şimonca made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Xabel was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Aron Suşu in the 57th minute of play forced Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's goalkeeper Marcos Xabel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Xabel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes of play, Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Xabel was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teofilo Sustrai kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Teofilo Sustrai got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Gabriel-Omar Lucifer made a precise shot to the right of Gigel Tilea. Academia Rio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. When Nicolae Hizo fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Rio's protests and gave Nicolae Hizo a yellow card for diving instead. After 73 played minutes Academia Rio got a freekick which was hit by Nicolae Hizo. Gabriel-Omar Lucifer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigel Tilea having to interfere. Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's Marcos Xabel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Dichiseanu in the 78th minute of play. Marcos Xabel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Resurrección Diabólica Ψ's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Coșeriu came free, but Marcos Xabel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gaston Mendebal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Gaston Mendebal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gigel Tilea, 5-2. Gabriel-Omar Lucifer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gigel Tilea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Academia Rio's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
